A practical steel-erector readiness guide
Build the quality system before the audit.
Swink's AISC Journey organizes the work behind Certified Steel Erector readiness: current requirements, quality-system ownership, records, internal review, and official AISC resources. It does not represent a certification decision or current certification status.
A quality management system that reaches the field
AISC describes the CSE program as a quality management system certification for structural steel erectors. The system is expected to address functions from receipt of the contract through completion of erection work.
Use the current official materials
AISC 207-25 applies to audits on or after February 1, 2026. Applicants should also review AISC's current governing requirements, CSE supplemental requirements, and application instructions.
